Lime Portland Cement conforms to Iranian Standards No. 4220 and 1-17518 and can be used in mortar and concrete in all applications where Type 1 Portland Cement (325-1) is employed.
Since the heat of hydration of this cement can be lower than that of Type 1 Portland Cement, concrete placement in cold weather requires greater attention.
This cement retains water better than ordinary Portland cement, and the pumpability of concrete made with it is improved.
The use of high-quality special limestone in this cement provides advantages such as better concrete pumpability, improved quality of precast elements (curbs, etc.), adequate resistance to freeze-thaw cycles, creation of a uniform surface, reduced hairline cracks in hardened concrete, better early strength compared to 325-1 cement, and reduced permeability.
